The Department of History at the University of Pittsburgh invites applications for a tenure-stream, assistant professor in 19th-century African American history focusing on the eras of slavery and/or Reconstruction. The successful applicant will join a department committed to effective teaching and a research university with great strengths in international, transnational, and interdisciplinary studies.
