History major named ODK Senior of the Year

February 2016

Eleanora Kaloyeropoulou, a history major, received the Omicron Delta Kappa (ODK) Senior of the Year Award. This award annually recognizes a senior student for meritorious leadership and extracurricular activities who exhibits exemplary character, responsible leadership and service in campus or community life, scholarship, and genuine fellowship.

Eleanora's campus involvement has been dedicated to sexual assault prevention an diversity awareness. She has served as the president of the Campus Women's Organization, a member of the Provost's advisory Committee on Women's Concerns, and a member of Students Engaging in Conversations about Consent and Sexuality. Also, as an RA in Forbes Hall, she empowers her female residents to fight an uphill battle in the male-dominated engineering field.

"I serve the campus, but I also have a duty to empower those I serve."
