History major Susie Pisarcik '16 wins 2017 German Chancellor Fellowship

Congratulations to Susie Pisarčik '16 (BA in history, minor in German studies) who has been selected as one of only ten U.S. recipients of the 2017 German Chancellor Fellowship.

Susie's year-long research project will examine refugee resettlement and integration practices in rural Germany. She will also take relevant graduate courses in the Social and Cultural Anthropology Department at Ludwig-Maximilians Universität München.

A total of 50 German Chancellor Fellowships are awarded per year, with 10 fellows each from the United States, Russia, China, India, and Brazil. Candidates can apply within 12 years of receiving their first undergraduate degree.
