Before coming to the University of Pittsburgh, I received my Bachelor’s Degree from the University at Buffalo, and graduated Summa Cum Laude in May 2017. I focus on the French colonial empire with a comparative emphasis on Spain and the Iberian world. I am particularly interested in how the political, cultural, and economic contexts of those nations within Europe shaped their colonial enterprises in the Americas.
