I am a first year graduate student. Before starting at Pitt in the Fall of 2015, I earned a bachelor’s degree in history and gender studies from the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign. My senior thesis focused on the anti-drunk driving movement that developed in the United States during the 1970’s and 1980’s. My current research interests focus on Latin America in general and post-independence Argentina in specific. I am particularly interested in the social and cultural dimensions of land ownership and urban planning.
