New Book by Dr. Jesse Olsavsky

Congratulations to our former doctoral student, Jesse Olsavsky, whose book The Most Absolute Abolition: Runaways, Vigilance Committees, and the Rise of Revolutionary Abolitionism, 1835-1861 is now out with LSU Press. Dr. Olsavsky earned his PhD in 2019 based on his dissertation ""Fire and sword will affect more good:" Runaways, vigilance committees and the rise of revolutionary abolitionism, 1835-1860". His dissertation was co-directed by Marcus Rediker and Niklas Frykman.
