Congratulations to Dr. James Hill who was awarded the Arthur W. Thompson Award by Florida Historical Society. This award is usually presented to the most outstanding article published in the Florida Historical Quarterly. This year, however, the awards committee decided to present this award to the authors who collaborated on the Special Issue on “Indigenous Florida” published in 2021. Dr. Hill's contribution in the special issue is entitled "'The land we live in is our own': Indigenous Conceptions of Space in Eighteenth-Century Florida".
